This Is As Nice Of A 19 YO Guitar As I Have Seen In Years

Disclosure:  I have been critical of G for their pricing to quality for some time and have felt over the years that you could do better with your money.  Than being said.....

This nearly flawless 2007 Studio made me forget all of that.  It did need some attention in the form of a reverse setup.  The neck was so perfectly straight and the string heights were so low that it did not allow the full tone to emerge and sustain to ring as it should (my opinion, by the way).  By putting the factory relief back into the neck and raising the strings to 4+ low E and 4- high E I got more character out of this beauty without any playability loss at all.  30 minutes of fine tuning the intonation along with a new set of 10's and this was the nicest thing I have put my hands on for awhile.....I was actually sad to give it back to its owner.  Great guitar and a joy to have had the chance to work on and play for a day.  I got to work on the Vox amp in the background as well and together there could be some future noise issues in that neighborhood.
