Mahogony body and neck finished with a multi step Japanese furniture procedure that made the grain really pop and become 3-D. SD Antiquity P90 sounds sweet down low but has plenty of growl and grit when turned up. There are push/pull pots at both the volume and tone controls. The volume pot activates a .022 cap when pulled and darkens the tone, like a low pass filter. Good for helping with tube amp overdrives. The tone pot sends the signal through a 500k resistor when pulled and smoothes out the top end, like having a 250k pot. Having the tone options makes this junior a more versital guitar and helps to tame the wide open sound of the P90 when you really cut it loose.
