MIM Strat

A real pale but beautiful Sonic Blue MIM Strat that got a new look and pickup upgrade with a 10 way Freeway switch.  The Tone Rider pickups came out and a set of Fender Fat 60's went in along with a new black pickguard and the Freeway switch.  Nice vintage tones from the standard bank of switching and the Fat 60's plus a fresh set of tones from the second set via the Freeway switch.  The switch fits into any pickguard without modifications so you don't even know it is there.  Very cool and fun upgrade. 

Update 10/21/24

This beautifully playing guitar came back to have EZ Loc neck inserts installed in the neck.  I did this with another Strat the owner has and he liked it so much he wanted this one done too.  With a quick install, some new strings, and a complete setup check it is back in action playing as great as ever.  Now you can take the neck off without ever worrying about your neck screws stripping the holes on the neck.
