Beautiful 50 Year Old Telecaster

Bought brand new in 1976, it was religated to the closet when a career got in the way of stardom and was in need of a good once over when it came through the door.  A thorough inspection revealed that with the exception of a short in the input jack, everything was completely workable.  I had to strip it down anyway to clean it from top to bottom so getting at the jack was easy.  Shielding in the control cavity had become detached from the bottom of the cavity and was hitting the hot leg when the jack loosened up in the holder, so redoing the shielding in new copper tape and tightening everything up fixed the shorting issue.  A clean and buff from top to bottom really brought this Tele back to life and revealed how well it was kept and stored for 50 years.  Reassembly, new strings, and a complete setup made it look fantastic and sound as it did back in 76.  Great looking and sounding Tele ready for the owner to make up for some lost time.  I had a blast working on this one.
