Most likely a 62, but small numbers in this serial range were made in 63 and 64. Thanks for the records Gibson. Anyway, this one had not been serviced in quite a while and the list of things to check when it came in was long. A quick inspection revealed the tuners to be bent and worn out, so, replacements were installed in a relic finish. Then, after finding the bridge on backwards, flipping that gave me the chance to run a setup. It wasn't as bad as it was presented to be, so some clean up, a complete setup and new strings got it back up and surprisingly playable. After a day of letting it get used to the adjustments and a little minor tweaking after that, this one is ready for it's owner to give it a test drive. Even though it has been stripped and finished to its natural mahogany, it remains a fun and authentic little guitar with a great vibe.
